Our winter events are designed to bring joy, connection, and a sense of belonging to teens navigating the challenges of foster care.
In 2021 Allies Christmas program provided gifts and joy to the teens and care givers in 15 local Milwaukee group homes for teens in foster care. Gifts included much needed hats, gloves, socks, hair care products, deodorant self-care items small toys and treats, along with a $50 target card. Feedback from the group homes included: “I’ve never had a Christmas like this!” “This is all for me!” “You’re going to make me cry, I’m so happy.” “No one has ever thought of us like this before.” “Oh, I wasn’t expecting anything, but it feels really good to be thought of.”
